GAMTEL FC have progressed to the first round of the Gambia Football Association FA Cup competition.
Defending champions GAMTEL defeated Hawks 3-2 on penalties following a hard fought 2-2 draw at the Brikama Mini-Stadium. Assan Ceesay (65) scored a well deserved equaliser to send the tie to penalties.
GAMTEL hope to replicate last years achivement after a disapointing league campaign. GAMTEL join Wallidan & Gambia Ports Authority as the first sides into the next stage of the FA Cup competition.
