GFA SUPER NAWETTAN Rescheduled

The Gambia Football Association 2011 Super Nawettan final has been moved to January 21st at the Independence Stadium.
The move according to the FA Boss Seedy Kinteh is to allow the massive renovation work currently on at the stadium ahead of the Swearing-in ceremony of His Excellency the President of the Gambia later in January.
Pundits clamour that since the two finalists are both from Kombo North, the final could have been moved to Sere Kunda East which will attract a lot of people since it is closer to both communities. However, the GFA coordinating Committee deems it fit to schedule the finals at the stadium where security could be guaranteed.
The Super Nawettan final is between Lamin and Sukuta, two great football rivals. Lamin last won the competition in 2002 while Sukuta won it in 2005.
