GFA NORMALISATION COMMITTEE INCREASES MEMBERSHIP
At its weekly briefing held on Wednesday 14th November, 2012 at the GFA Boardroom in Kanifing the Normalisation Committee of The Gambia Football Association (GFA) unanimously concluded amongst other items to incorporate Mr Lamin Camara chairman of the Gambia Referees Association and Mr Pa Suwareh Faye chairman of the Gambia Coaches Association as new co-opted members of the Normalisation Committee with effect from Thursday 15th November, 2012.
Mr Camara and Faye’s immediate inclusion in the Normalisation process stems from the ardent desire of the Executive to beef up the membership and open up to more ideas in order to bring about a clear and realistic change in Gambian football. Besides, the committee deems it fitting as well to replace the vacuum of former committee member Cherno Barra Touray who is now on international and state assignment.
It is envisaged that the introduction of Camara and Faye as new members of the Normalisation Committee will add more impetus and propel the committee’s speed for the quick realisation of its aims and objectives towards the new period hence the duo’s vast knowledge in football related matters.
The Normalisation Committee once again takes this opportunity to reassure Gambians of its desire to fulfil yet again its renewed mandate for a better structural football adjustment. It also avails itself of this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their support and genuine contributions towards the realisation of the committee’s desire of transforming Gambian football.
